1. Get the photoshop dds plug in (yes you are stuck with photoshop for saving the tex, you can still edit is in other programs just will need to save trough photoshop) gametechdev.github.io/Intel-Texture-Works-Plugin/2. Get the dmc5 .tex/11 texture to .dds covert (and back) tool. Drag the tex file on to the .bat file to convert a .tex file to a .dds file, and drag a .dds file on to the .bat file to convert it to a .tex file (You need to have the REtool.exe and conv.bat files in the same folder for them to work. Don't drag the files on the exe or click/open the exe, it's not gonna work, the .bat file is what you need to use) RE Texture Convert to DDS Tool3. Saving formats
albm atos nrmr/atos+alpha (some atos texture have a alpha channel) Apparently ALPG textures use this format too 4. After you are done and have saved your changes to the dds texture, just drag the .dds file on to the .bat file (don't drag the .tex file cuz that will replace the .dds file and you will either loose the dds or will have to re-save it if you still have it open. If you want to be extra careful save the texture as a psd) Also you can use/run the "texture-conv-all" .bat files for mass conversion MAKE BACK UPS. Always store original textures somewhere!
