Hey guys. If you've been seeing some wacky move swaps around recently, chances are it was my fault. Che helped me understand how to edit Hex and I stole some tips from Jackal on the RE modding Discord to get started. Thanks so much Jackal, just reading through the stuff you explained has enabled so much.
I've started going through the pain of documenting the hex contents of the motlist files. The idea of this list is to make moveswaps as easy as possible by saving you searching through thousands of lines and trying to decipher attack names.
Right now I've only focused on Dante, but I'll be working through the other characters too.
This is a lot of effort, so if anyone can add to this I would hugely appreciate it. Post it here in a similar format (Character Name, Folder name, File name, Offset, Address, Move) so I can add to it easily.
Some move names are different to how they appear ingame and can cause confusion. My goal is to change them to their ingame names in the doc so everyone can understand at a glance what each entry means.

Here's some examples of the move editing:
Swapping Feather Punches with Feather Punches End (DHMalice's request, people seem to be having fun with this one; Whirling has shown some cool things with it)
Of course you can also use this strategy to swap moves from other weapons or even characters.

Can we possibly have Overdrive back on Rebellion and Sparda then? Honestly can't tell why they removed it to begin with, as the input in 5 doesn't interfere with any of their other moves.RockTex

Hey ! Can you please rid of "red eyes" super costumes has, and the "permanent wings" for super Nero ? I want the super characters (Nero, Dante and V) to be like normal costumes, without the "glowing red eyes" and the permanent wings Super Nero has, but with their properties saved for sure (like unlimited DT, Exeed, DSD charge,...)

My goal is to be able to edit the animations properties. Swapping out Enemy Step for Walljump fixes the buffer problem ES has but also... Well y'know its a walljump. If I could tweak ES so that you could cancel it with an attack like you can Walljump this would be perfect.
